BDO becomes the main partner of the Women’s Bank Walk

BDO and Women’s Bank have signed a partnership agreement regarding the Women’s Bank Walk 2018 event.
Women’s Bank Walk is a charity walk to raise funds to promote education and entrepreneurship among women in developing countries. Women’s employment and entrepreneurship has a significant impact on the well-being of families and entire villages. As the event’s main partner, BDO, a leading provider of auditing and advisory services, supports the event by making a donation and by participating in the walk. BDO has supported Women's Bank on several occasions over the years and is one of its founding partners.
Women’s Bank Walk 2018 marks the ninth time the event is held. In 2017, the event was organised in 70 cities in Finland and internationally. The target for 2018 is to raise the funds necessary to provide a profession to 3,300 women.

Women’s Bank raises funds for development cooperation projects that support women’s vocational training and entrepreneurship. The Women’s Bank network has helped some 59,000 women in 15 countries earn a livelihood. In Finland, the Women’s Bank volunteer network operates in 40 cities and towns. Finn Church Aid is responsible for carrying out the projects in the developing countries.
