BDO supports entrepreneurs – both in Finland and internationally

16 July 2018

BDO is a partner of Women’s Bank, an organisation that promotes sustainable development.

Supporting the success of our customers is the starting point of BDO’s operations. We are the fifth-largest provider of auditing services as well as financial and management advisory services in Finland and the international market. The cornerstones of our operations are integrity, openness, supporting our clients and understanding their operations as well as creating long-term client relationships.

As the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship are at the heart of our expertise, it is natural for us to want to help new entrepreneurs get started. We have chosen to partner with Women’s Bank because we want to support women’s entrepreneurship and ability to earn a livelihood in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. This kind of support has far-reaching consequences, as earning a livelihood strengthens a woman’s role and status in her family and community. Helping women is one of the most effective ways of sustainably increasing well-being.

The history of our partnership with Women’s Bank goes back more than a decade. We are one of the founding partners of Women’s Bank and we have supported its activities in various ways throughout the years. In 2018, our partnership will continue in a new way with BDO being an event partner for the Women’s Bank Walk 2018.

Women are also an important resource for BDO: they represent more than half of BDO Global’s employees. While women are the main beneficiaries of Women’s Bank’s aid efforts, Women’s Bank is not just a project for women. Our experts – both men and women – are actively involved in helping Women’s Bank reach its fundraising target for the Women’s Bank Walk.
