A significant new player has emerged in the Finnish infrastructure construction sector. Lohkare Infra Oy, established by the European investment firm Triton, has acquired three well-known companies operating in the infrastructure industry. Lohkare Infra Oy consists of Oteran Oy, VM Suomalainen Oy and Lännen Alituspalvelu Oy. (The acquisition of Oteran Oy remains subject to regulatory approval, which is expected to be obtained later in 2025.) BDO acted as financial advisor to Oteran Oy throughout the transaction process.

The combined group generates nearly EUR 200 million in annual revenue and approximately EUR 25 million in EBITDA. The Chairman of the Board of the new company will be Hannu Leinonen, a well-known figure in the infrastructure construction industry who has previously served as CEO of major infrastructure companies YIT and Destia. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of SRV Group.

"Being part of the Group creates new opportunities for collaboration and development for us and the other companies within the Group. It also enhances procurement efficiency, ultimately benefiting our customers."
